The hard part was never the work
Furnace died on the coldest night of the year. I filled the form in at six in the morning and had someone at the house before ten. It was a control board, not the whole furnace.
One contractor wanted to tear out the whole driveway. Another said two thirds of it was sound and quoted replacing only the cracked section. Same driveway, very different numbers.
I had been putting this off for two years because I did not know where to start. Three installers called the next morning, all of them happy to explain the options rather than just quote a number.
Why it is free
Somebody pays us. It is not you.
Contractors pay us for the introduction, because a homeowner who has already described the job is worth far more to them than an advert. That is the whole business model, and we would rather say it plainly than bury it in a footer.

Questions people ask before they trust us
Is this actually free, or is there a catch later?
Genuinely free. You will never be asked for a card and there is no fee at any stage. Contractors pay us when we introduce them to someone who fits what they do. That is disclosed here, in our terms, and in the footer of every page.
How many contractors will contact me?
Up to three, and often fewer. We cap it deliberately — the point of this is to save you time, and being called by eight companies is not that. If you would rather hear from just one, say so when the first one calls and we will stop the rest.
How quickly will someone get in touch?
Usually the same day, and at most within one business day. HVAC requests flagged as emergencies go to contractors with same-day availability first, and those normally get a call back within the hour during business hours.
Do I have to hire anyone?
No. Plenty of people use this to get a realistic price before deciding whether to do the work at all, and that is a completely legitimate use of it. There is no obligation attached to submitting a form.
How do you check the contractors?
Before any contractor receives work from us we verify that they are licensed where their trade and state require it, and that they carry current liability insurance. After that we track complaints per hundred leads, and contractors who generate them consistently are removed regardless of what they spend with us.
Do you sell my information to anyone else?
No. It goes to the contractors matched to your specific request, in the trade you asked about, and nowhere else. Not to data brokers, not to unrelated trades, not to anyone who merely wants to buy it. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is shared and how to have it deleted.
What if I want you to stop contacting me?
Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email optout@cashsavingscout.com. It applies across every contractor at once and it is permanent. You do not have to explain why.
